The rank and the bonus
The rank and the bonus are two answers to two questions. The rank asks who did the most of the week’s work, well; the bonus asks whether a driver’s week met your rules. They read some of the same things — Amazon’s score, the returns Amazon counted — and differ on the rest, and both are your company’s policy, set on two Settings cards.
How the rank is built
Performance › Rankings
Every day a driver ran on the board counts, at every station, in planned packages measured against that station’s average route for the week. A driver is ranked once, at the station they worked most. Only drivers Amazon scored that week are on the list at all.
- The band first
- Amazon’s score sorts the field into bands — band 3 from 99.90, band 2 from 99.50, band 1 below — and a lower band never outranks a higher one.
- Then the work
- Inside bands 3 and 2, the week’s work decides: the packages, less what your policy takes off, plus a little for helping. Band 1 is ordered by score.
- A returned package
- Each return Amazon counted as non-compliant takes 0.10 off the score the rank uses. Amazon’s own score never moves.
- A write-up
- One outside safety and quality takes half a route-day of work. A safety or quality write-up already reaches the rank through Amazon’s score.
- A rescue caused
- A rescue the dispatcher marked DA-caused takes half a route-day.
- A rescue given
- A quarter of a route-day back, on a day the rescuer ran a route of their own — half a day at most in a week.
- To be ranked
- 2.5 routes’ worth of packages in the week. Under that, a driver is listed as not ranked, with how far short they were.
How this is worked out on Rankings says the same thing in numbers for the week on screen, and each driver’s row shows their own sum: days, load, what came off, what came back.
Changing the policy
Settings › Ranking & standing
Every number above is a dial on one company policy, versioned by week. As you move a dial, the card re-ranks the newest week on file beside it — who moves in or out of the Top 5 is what a dial is for — and nothing applies until Save changes.
The same card holds Returns: which of Amazon’s verdicts count, from which Sunday, and which of Amazon’s reasons never count (business closed, out of the box). The rank, the bonus’s returns rule and the overturn screen all read it. Changing the card takes the Ranking & standing policy permission, which the Owner grants on Ops team › Roles.
Who qualifies for the bonus
Settings › Bonus & hours — the Owner’s page
A new company pays no weekly bonus until the Owner switches it on. With it on, a driver qualifies for a week when every rule switched on below holds:
- Amazon score
- At least 99.5. A driver Amazon did not score does not qualify.
- Photo on delivery
- At least 99.5%.
- Rescues caused
- None allowed in the week, out of the box.
- Returns
- No non-compliant return, out of the box. A business-closed return never counts.
- A write-up
- Issued, signed or refused, of any kind, costs the week — each level says how many weeks, one out of the box.
- A board mark
- Early RTS, a refused rescue, an abandoned route — whatever your list of bonus ineligibility reasons holds.
- Preventable damage
- Costs the next weeks by how bad it was — 2, 3 or 4 out of the box — counted from the week of the damage.
There is no tier rule and no attendance rule, and a driver does not have to be ranked to qualify. Rankings marks each driver Bonus or not, with the reason — “a DA-caused rescue”, “2 non-compliant returns”, “marked: Early RTS”. Rule changes apply from this week, like the rank’s.
Drivers see whether they qualified only if you switch on Drivers see whether they qualified, on their own scorecard: a Qualified or Not qualified chip, each rule with their own figure, and the reason — their own week only. That one switch applies at once, to every week already scored.
Returns Amazon got wrong
Dispatch › Returns › Amazon’s verdict
When Amazon counted a return that wasn’t the driver’s — a building closed to everyone, a package never on their stops, a cancelled order, a contact Amazon missed — overturn it: all of a day, the ones ticked, or one, with a reason and what happened. The sheet shows what changes for the driver before you press: their returns this week, whether the bonus’s returns rule now passes, the score the rank uses. Amazon’s own scorecard does not change; dispute the packages with Amazon for that. Overturning takes the Overturn returns permission.
The month, the giveaways and the post
- Monthly
- The month’s weeks folded into one field and ranked the same way. A rank needs 11 routes’ worth; the 95% club is the ranked with an average Amazon score of 95 or better; a driver keeps a giveaway through one rescue caused in the month. Drivers with 8 or more violations are named in the monthly post.
- Giveaways
- Offer rewards to the Top 5 on Rankings rings the top drivers’ phones; a driver who caused a rescue or carries a bonus mark is skipped and the next moves up. They pick on their phone, and the ledger tracks it to handed over. The ladder, the gift cards and the product list are yours on Settings › Giveaways — a new company starts with none.
- Focus cards
- Each driver’s lowest Amazon metric this week, on their scorecard, with one thing to work on and a guide behind it. A driver who is Platinum everywhere gets none.
- The weekly post
- Draft the weekly post writes the week up for the drivers — the tier, safety, feedback, the Top 5 — as a draft in Announcements. It drafts; somebody posts.
What a driver sees
More › Scorecard: their place — “12th of 89 drivers” — their Amazon score and tier, their focus card, their week metric by metric, and the standings by first name and last initial. A driver who is not ranked sees “Not ranked”. Nobody ever sees anybody else’s bonus.
